Accessible via an escalator that you can hardly miss, this belvedere is a prime location due to the fantastic views it provides. Once at the top, you can enjoy views over two beaches and over the rooftops of Albufeira!
This 16th-century watchtower is just a few metres from the beach. A physical reminder of the conflicts of yesteryear, the tower was erected as an observation post so that the Portuguese fleet could avoid attacks by corsairs, a frequent problem of that particular time on Algarve’s coast!
